Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton
I may not yet be thriving at life, but I am striving to. High School history teacher turned full time work at home mom, not exactly what I went to school for 6 years for but I can't imagine it any other way. As an auto-immune disease sufferer, I am an advocate for living a full life, in spite of them and for me that means embracing the gluten free lifestyle as a Celiac and learning new ways to help my body fight against the symptoms of Hoshimotos. I love to find simplicity and budget friendly meals that my families will love and I enjoy sharing that my friends juggling the same dietary restrictions. As a pastor's kid, I grew up learning about Christianity and God but now I live my life trying to learn how to live and love as a Christian in a not so forgiving world. The teacher in me loves to share inspired devotions and break it down in a simple but applicable way so that we can all walk away being better at walking in our Christian journey. I am admittedly not crafty, trendy, or creative, but that is what Pinterest is for, right? I love the entrepreneurial life and all of the possibilities it holds. The next great idea is there just waiting to be discovered, so why not me? My only hope in my writing is to help others along the way; to inspire, to educate, to create curiosity...ultimately to help others thrive rather than merely survive. View all posts by ThrivingAtLife
